Pesto Chicken Alfredo

Pesto Chicken Alfredo is a marriage between two great Italian pasta recipes. The subtle creamy flavor of a rich Alfredo sauce recipe and the brilliant texture, color and freshness of the pesto. I can think of only a few culinary marriages that are better. Make the homemade pesto first. You don't need a lot and you can always use it for other recipes such as a dollop in your Minestrone soup. Ingredients and Preparation:- 1 lb Fettucini
- 12 tbsp of butter
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated parmigiano
- 3-4 tbsp of my pesto sauce recipe
- Salt & Pepper to taste

Melt the butter in the pan on low heat as you would to make a basic Alfredo Sauce and then stir in the cream. As you begin to cook your fettucini whisk the butter and cream to make thicken. Now plop in a couple of table spoons of Pesto and stir. 
Add the fettucini, the chicken and the parmigiano and toss your pesto chicken Alfredo together. You can smell the sweet basil and see the richness of the creamy Alfredo as the blend together before you eyes, and the taste? Incredibly delicate. Molto bene.
