re DOP and Cento
by: Anonymous

Yup! Had the same issue... tried them and they are good. Sweeter than others... some canned tomatoes are bitter, due to the seeds and possibly close to rotting.
The Cento has a seal but it has nothing to do with DOP
which probably has a distinct region allowing DOP to be on the can.... Cento might grow right down the street!

Cento DOP?
by: Kira

I have to admit I thought the Cento brand was DOP but if you've purchased them and they don't have a DOP statement then they are not.

I hope this is helpful!

Thank you
